I have to imagine that almost every Gemballa car is one that was totaled and, rather than pay to have a proper OEM repair, the car goes though a Gemballa transformation that is less expensive than a proper factory restoration to original. It would make absolutely no sense to take a perfectly good Porsche and do that to it. If you love that cartoon look, you might as well start with a wrecked car considering the car will be worthless once the transformation is done.
It'd be great of Porsche could have, as part of its sales contract, that the buyer could not do a Gemballa mod or sell to anyone that didn't agree to the same constraint. I wish the people with these preferences were left to using MR2s, Supras, or a Nissan of some type. Junking a Porsche for this is a shame to me.
