Default Opinion needed please..... Original rims, or these?

Hello guys,

Been a while, and hope all of you are doing well. I was just wondering what some of you Porsche heads think about this look on my TT. Feel free to comment with honesty! Feels great to be back!

Those look very nice. If you have both, keep them both if you can, switch them up once in a while. But I would keep those depicted in the pics on. I may be a little biased, I have a very similar look with my HRE's. Once I started driving foreign cars, I have had a mesh style spoke wheel on all of them. It's a great look, still somewhat classy while being sporty IMHO.

Very nice but I prefer original to anything else other than maybe those new Fuchs.

Thanks for dropping in Tony. I really do like the look, but I actually did this last night, and I may be biased! Confused??? The rims in the pics are Fikse's and are completely silver (as you can see on the dish). I plasti-dip'd it completely and added a red pinstripe. Last night I grabbed a utility knife blade and cut at the dish line and started peeling! So you see, to me, it look great and really compliments the arctic silver, plus as you previously mentioned, it does give that classic feel/look.

love these posts.....

The black looks good/nice style too. But wonder how they'd be in gunmetal finish?...may be too much.

Play with plastidip if bored/it's temporary if you want it to be. Gunmetal wheels and silver cars just look great to me IMO.

The originals are nice but I have a soft spot for wheels with a wide lip.

I love the ride hight of OPs car! I had so many black wheels 10 years ago! Was really in fashion in Europe back in the day. IMO the black wheels makes the 993tt look less classic! I wouldn't go darker than gunmetal.

They've been running an ad in Excellence or Panorama with what looks like a 19" set on a white 993tt. Damned if I can find an electronic copy.

At one time, I was considering black wheels but after a long pause decided to go with silver. I never was an enthusiast of the original Porsche wheels, so I finally went with the HRE, couldn't be happier.
