Default Engine Replacement

I am looking at a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 Pickup. The mileage is around 95,000. The engine was replaced and has paper work. The current engine for the truck has around 20,000. Should I consider purchasing. I trust the dealership and they have always been great to work with. If the engine had over 90,000 the Blue Book is under the purchase price, with 20,000 the Blue Book is over purchase price. Thanks!

Was the IMS bearing replaced when they installed the new motor?

the 996 forum (and the collective wisdom of its members) is so good that non-996 (N/A) questions routinely land here.

Assuming that the truck has the proper engine and was replaced by a reputable shop, why not? I take it that you like the vehicle and that is all that is holding you back.

Whatever you do, don't ask the experts here what engine oil you should use. Not a good idea, although this forum seems to relish engine oil threads.

Everyone knows the 29 failure modes of the 996 extend to Chevy products.

This is a very astute buyer.

Be sure, during extensive PPI to drop the dry sump plate. Please take pictures.
