Blackstone report on 996 C4S w/107k
I have been enjoying the hell out of my C4S, it's really a great driving car and super enjoyable as a second vehicle. With all the IMS doom I wanted a little reassurance that my engine, even with the IMS replaced about 10k miles ago, is still operating as it should be.
Sent a sample to Blackstone and got the report back, looks pretty good to me but would like some expert opinions. There's a little bit of fuel in the oil, 0.5% but seems to be within tolerance. Currently running Pentosin 5w/20, I live in South Florida so it never gets near freezing. Let me know your thoughts!

wow just realized that was a mistake on my part, I'm actually using 5w40...don't know how I messed that up.
They said it was a good clean result, only thing was 0.5% fuel in oil which isn't terrible but should try to lower it. Looking for M96 experts to weigh in, they have a better understanding of our engine composition and can pinpoint trace levels that appear higher than spec for our cars, which BS can't do.

Looks like the Blackstone comparative numbers are also for a 20 grade oil. 11.9 cstk @ 100C is low for 40 grade. Mobil1 5w40 comes in at 8.9 cstk @ 100C which is within the comparative range quoted by Blackstone.
