Where can I pick up 12v power in my car?
I would like to add some lights at the foot wells of my car. Can anyone tell me where I can pick up 12v power inside the car?
Any suggestions on an on/off switch as well?

Pop the center consol there should be swiched power by the shift on an unused plug. It was for the factory phone or something.

You can also pick it up off the cigarette lighter. Easy Just pop the horseshoe off and tap into the wire!

behind the triangular removable panel by your right foot. There is a 4 wire connector. Half of it is live and the other half is live only when the ignition is switched to the ON position.

There was a factory option for footwell lighting. Maybe find the wiring diagram for that. Otherwise the "phone prep" cable that is behind the cubbies in front of the shifter would be good, accessed from either side by pulling off the side panels as stated above.

I have the wiring diagram for the foot-well lighting. I'll post it tonight when I get home. BUT I think you would be better served by having it connected to the interior lighting switch over the windshield so they come on with the door opening or pushing thw switch for interior lights.
