Default Please Help Identify This Part

I have my 2004 C4S up on jack stands for some maintenance and upgrades now that the weather has turned in the Pacific Northwest. While underneath it today, I saw some seepage (no drips), and I'm hoping that one of the experts on Rennlist will be able to help me identify the part. It's on the driver's side above the rear of the cylinder head (toward the front of the car). The picture is taken from underneath just to the driver's side of the transmission housing. It looks to me that there is a hose that's a little loose, but I don't want to just fix that and assume it's fixed when it's not. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Feel THAT loose hose for dampness. Replace or tighten up the clamps anyway I would suggest.

Consulting my crystal ball, I see an AOS replacement in your future.

It sure looks like the bottom end of an AOS.

Thanks, all. Not what I was hoping for, but it’s what I figured was the likely case. I’ll see about getting that hose on there all the way & go from there.
