Default Coolant leak from this connector....

Anyone know if this part is replaceable, and is it doable without draining all the new coolant??

Yes it looks to be clamped (3) and on the high side of most of the coolant.

Could it just be a bad clamp, or, that white connector needs to be shoved in more?

Looks like it could be attached better. Old plastic gets brittle and should be replaced before failure.

I can't seem to find the white plastic connector for sale anywhere, unless it's not part of the cooling system parts?

It's molded onto that hose - you need the whole hose... Part # 18 in this diagram ? http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=105-05

Looks like the diagram is showing passenger side on the left.

Also after a second look, you can see yours broke at some point and someone DIY'd a temp fix.
What's the red stuff?

The pink is actually NEW coolant (old coolant was orange). So it's not a matter of loosening that bottom hose clamp and pushing the white tube down farther into the rubber connector?

Looks like the plastic connector is cracked, part #16 here.. part # 99913705240 http://beffc355b172a4d82d12-6d84f9e62a8157e6219c3dd665a5eb6c.r36.cf2.rackcdn.com/104-10.gif

Cool, thanks for the link!

Is my part cracked, or, not inserted all the way?

Looks to me that it's dripping from higher up and landing on the hose clamp. Is that the overflow tank in the top left corner of the picture?

It is inserted all the way, it is suppose to have that much space between the rubber.

I would think cracked, 20yo brittle plastic cracking much more likely than cracked rubber. You can pressure test to confirm, or just replace to $2 part..

Ordered two from a nearby dealer - $2.80 each, will have them on Monday or Tuesday.

Any tips on getting the old one out and the new one in, without spilling coolant all over the place??

Unless the leak is from the rubber around the hose clamp on the bottom?

Slow down, I think you are replacing something that isn't the problem. I think the coolant is dripping from the overflow tank that's above this hose junction.
