Cool cool! I was slightly disappointed in the lack of mentioning the STIFF limited slip that makes parking lot navigation “unique” and the sunroof delete. He barely touched the fact that there is no traction control.
Otherwise nice eye candy and a good review!

Earlier in my career I did a lot of work with a local analytical equipment shop. They were a small operation but managed to get their equipment to become a global standard for the particular testing they specialized in. They were pumping these out as fast as possible and charging crazy money for them. In any case, the owner drove a 996 GT2. I used to have to go to the shop regularly...one day I showed up and saw that the passenger side rear bumper was smashed in. It was sad.

Enjoyed the review and i have arctic silver over metropol blue as well, but obviously not a gt2. Surprised he spent time criticizing interior, including cup holders, but i got a huge chuckle over MANUELL comment since that’s my c4s name, lol.
Nice to see new 996 videos.

Silver widomaker just sold on BAT for $148,000 yesterday 4k miles. I need one these (in my dreams) but the cost is insane now. Too much talking not enough driving.

It is always a treat to see a car like this up close, I am surprised they even put cup holders in a car so oriented towards track driving.

Doug is the only YT'er I watch. I love his stuff. The fact that he's a 996 fan and prior owner makes it even better when he reviews them. Now he just needs to do a 996 GT3 and that about covers them all.
EDIT: I also love that Rennlist got a shout out, about colored stitching options discussion threads for new GT3/GT2 RS' lol

I watched a similar higher mileage (70K?) yet overall nice GT2 go for about $75K IIRC at Barrett Jackson in Palm Beach 3 years ago.
The Wife had my hands duct-taped down with another strip across my mouth. Jumping up and down and whimpering is apparently not an accepted form of bidding.

I had no trouble driving the 1st GT2 in the USA in 2002 whether parking or at 145MPH on the freeway. The rear end will come around quickly if you goose it with the steering wheel turned but the worst thing is how easy it is to scrape the front spoiler that's about 4" above the pavement. Doug failed to mention the GT2 has shift rods instead of the usual cables that really improves fast shifting & feel. Also has one size larger rear tires than standard Turbo.
