Default Tired of breaking you back on tire changes?

I was....but hopefully no more since ordering Wheel Mounting Guide Bolt: 9A7-007-733-OO....Note: If you have PCCB brakes on your car, you have one of these in your tool kit. Just as an aside, I installed the longer lug bolts too accommodate a 5mm to 7mm spacer for the front....ran without them....car ran as good as ever. Just as an aside, those longer lug bolts making changing tires, especially the rears a really tough, quad burning, job. No more for me, going back to stock lug nuts, optimized install with the Wheel Mounting Guide Bolt 9A7-007-733-00-MS56 I got my part from 5150 Motorsports out of AZ, no sales tax, always a +++ for me.
5150motorsport.com Christine Johnson expedites their orders and does one heck of a great job.

I'm not a "rennlister extrordinaire" but these wheel mounting posts are readily available from many sources. I have a pair from way back, either VW or Audi that work great on the 996. I also have several Porsche versions. They both work equally well, as they are simple devices.

Anyone know what the thread is...could probably just use threaded rod or long bolts with the heads cut off...easy enough.

Yup, M14x1.5.

PS. Look in your factory tool kit. You probably already have one in there.

"rennlister extrordinaire" John the Rennlist founder gave me that title years ago, it is not self imposed. I was an early adopter of the original site which was later changed to Rennlist, join date of May 2001, that's 18 years no matter how you cut it.

I may be reading this wrong, but did you say you are running 5mm-7mm spacers and removed the longer lug bolts? Or were you running longer bolts, without having spacers and have gone back to stock? If you are running spacers, you have to run longer lugs. It will be fine, up until the point that it is no longer fine.

Cool. That's a long time!

I joined a month later in June 2001. How time flies.

The PCCB equipped cars come with two wheel pins. I find it very easy to put the wheels on using both.

I want to run spacers in front so will not change them out. The rear gets no spacers so i will replace the long studs and go back to stock.

i have two (2) of the pins, will try wheel changing with one, and two.

I'd like to second OP's recommendation on Christine at 5150 Motorsports - have been buying from them for years - best service, orders are always perfect even though i'm constantly adding or removing things!!

I recommend the oem longer ones. The short ones from Amazon work fine but the longer ones work better!
