RoW M030 price went up?
I was shopping for new suspension for my 996 and found that Suncoast wants $3700 for the RoW M030 now. Didn't it used to be $2000 cheaper? Or am I making that up?

I was probably going to go with the Öhlins R&T's anyway, but now I think I definitely will.

Consider Eibach pro kit springs with Koni Special Active shocks/struts. I have that setup on my '99 and am pretty happy with it. The Eibach spring rates are very similar to stock but the car is lower and the Koni Special Actives are a lot more comfortible than the Bilsteins that were on there before. It works well for me for street driving but I haven't tried it on the track or autocross. I suspect the spring rates would be a little soft for track/autocross use with sticky tires.

Yep...was around $1500 for a long time. I almost ordered it several times but figured they would always be around. Big mistake on my part! Now the price moves you to a category with more options.

Yes, it's been mentioned in several other threads. I paid $1,382.52 in June of 2017 from Sunset. Their current price is $3,525.57. The price is going up about a $1,000.00 per year?

Well...considering I have owned too many Porsche's to count and currently own around 10 (including two 996's) plus a bunch of other collector cars I like to change it up every now and then....

Ah, sorry 'bout that. I did a quick search but didn't do a very good job.
I've read a bunch of of the other suspension threads, but if any of you guys in this thread have other recommendations in addition to thebutterson's above, I'd be interested to hear them.

For a lot less than that you can go to the Bilstein PSS10, right now Tire Rack ha them for a 2000 C4 for $2,546 and for a coupe for $2,777. A much better set of springs and of shocks with more adaptability. You don't get the sway bars but you can pick up a set of Eiback or others for not too much.
I have been running the PSS10, with Eibach sways for many years now and they are great.

The price went up about 2 months ago. Very sad, as I got my car just after it went up. I wonder how this new price impacts the suspension recommendations. I feel like it was the go-to suspension for so long in part because other suspensions weren't worth paying extra for, but now that it is as least if not more expensive than anything else, how does it rank?

What they didn't take into account was the "lift" and "floaty" nature of the car at high speeds with a 1 inch taller suspension.
I bought the kit for my 2003 C2 for $999 in 2013. The Porsche shop that installed it said, "where did you get this?" Needless to say they started stocking and selling a few sets after that. Nothing like having a brand new factory sport suspension and having all factory Porsche parts.

Just did a 350 mi road trip over great driving roads with my new M030 suspension and it was a marked improvement over the stock suspension. It was purchased at the old price so a lot of bang for the buck.

I don’t grasp why vendors would jack up the price point above all the really good c/o options. Did supply really tighten down that much over the last 18 months, when folks were realizing the ROW kit was less than $1400 delivered? Only a really OCD purist would select the ROW M030 (for more money!) over something like Öhlin r/t or KWv3...or H/R, etc. for much less. “Show me the PSS10’s please. I want to save some money.”, said no one ever until now.
