Should should fit on my current C4S 18" turbo twists. They won't be great snow tires, but I'm not looking to daily this in the snow anyway.

I'm guessing on TireRack they say it does not fit if it's not the exact recommendation from the manufacturer, but I think it should be ok.
Do they not offer 265/35R18 for the rear? That would be even better than 275.

This assumes stock 10" wheel at the rear. Regardless, if you go with the wider tire (275) the diameter will about 0.5 inches larger than the front tire. Not a huge difference, but also not ideal.

The selection of tires for 11x18 wheels shrinks by the day. I got a brand new set of Porsche Sport Technos from the Porsche classic program and ditched my factory sport designs. The Sport Technos, even in narrow body, are 11x18. Discount tire direct was able to order me 295/30/18 rear tires direct from Pirelli but nobody had them in stock, including tire rack.

I use the Continental Extreme Contact DWS on my 4S with no issues for winter driving. I'm in NJ, close to Philly and we do see snow although I've not driven when there has been a major snowfall say over 4" or so.

I have 235/40-18 fronts on my 2003 C4S with no clearance problem. These match 275/35-18 rears near perfectly and both fit on the standard 8 and 11" rims. The Porsche recommended 265/35-18 winter rears are supposed to be on 10" wide rims so they wouldn't be ideal on the 11" rear rims. I went with 285/35-18 rears and have been told by many that this 1.9% difference is fine. I have had them for several years and 6000 miles with no noticeable problem.

Just picked up a 2002 C4S that I plan to daily all year in MN. Coming from an STI, I was surprised by the lack of options for winters. I went with the attached Pirellis. Spendy $$$. I wanted to keep the stock rims for winter and get some aftermarket rims for summer. Hopefully the awd system will work as intended with these sizes...seems great so far.

I went through this several years ago. I like to swap my own summer/winter tires, so bought a used set of 993 Turbo Twists that had been chromed. Got them pretty cheap and they were beautiful. Mounted Blizzak 265's on the 10" rears, and they look pretty stretched, but work fine (I had to get some special spacers due to the different offset to get them out where they looked right). The 265's would not stretch onto stock C4S rears.

Drive to work today. It's been snowing here since Friday. The main roads are in decent shape. We had about an inch of new last night. So far, so good.

Piggy backing here - looking for snows for my 996.2 C2 with Sport Classic II (8.5" F / 10" R).

Does anybody know if the rears would be ok with these sizes (particularly the profile)? Since the width is sized down to 265, I feel like a 40 profile would be ideal?

F 235/40/18
R 265/40/18

I live in the great white north, extremely harsh winters - this week its been colder than -30 celsius with lots of snow and very frozen roads, and daily my 2002 C4S, I run 225/40/18 and 265/35/18 Pirelli Winter 240 Snowsports on ACE 130B Spyder wheels
and have so for 7 winters, im on my second set of the Pirellis
theyve performed very well, never let me down
i use 7mm spacers in the front and 19mm spacers in the rear

in the summer i run the turbo twists with Michelin PS2s in 225/40/18 and 295/30/18
