You guys are wrong. Anyone that likes car does not drive them into the ground like he does. He’s a clown looking for clown clicks. You don’t drive cars that you know are about to suffer catastrophic failure until they blow, laugh about, and then claim you’re a car guy. This guy monetized being the class clown. Good for him, but he is no legit car guy. Heck most youtubers, influencers and TV show car guys are not. A real car guys show would be really informative and a bit boring.

Tough crowd. I don’t mind hoovies garage or cartrek, yes some (or most) of it is a little corny they seem to still be car guys- I do like the wizard mechanic segments the most though. As an aside the rapide he recently bought was pretty cool. That said tavarish seems more entertaining as he works on all his cars.

i watched him once. I forget what car he was reviewing but it was an older car and he was bashing features and design elements as if the car was a new car. He had no concept of car history and how some features (like vent windows, back seat ash trays, etc) were important at the time.
i maintain if you truly know anything about cars you should be be able to judge them at the point in history they were made.

we now live in a world where faked videos and pics online attract the most money, so we'll see more and more of it. Mediocrity is rewarded more than trailblazers.
one of my favorite engine builders is doing amazing work yet he has less than 2000 Subs. Such a shame.
He's building a 300 WHP 3.0L NA engine.

Yup! Sadly, those channels don't get subscribers or as many views. People want to see train wrecks to be entertained.

exactly. We live in a time where mindless entertainment rules. For those who have seen the movie "Idiocracy" you know we can't be far off from a movie like "***" or television shows like, "Ow! My *****!"

Hoovie mentioned in the initial 996 video that he may take it to Porsche for a service evaluation. I look forward to the estimate from Porsche being more than what he paid for the car!

When at home I enjoy watching mindless dumb things at times. I don't mind Hoovie and know that he's making a living doing what he does so there's going to be some exaggerating taking place. I actually watched this episode on the TV the other night as my wife wanted no part of another stupid movie I watched (Jay and Silent Bob Reboot) and it came up on YouTube as a suggested video.
I then went on a Ferrari and yacht tangent as YouTube kept suggesting things to me, but in any case, mindless entertainment is ok if you understand it's mindless entertainment.

I'm only laughing because anybody that watches Hoovie videos knows he's always the first person to call out what a clueless goof he is - and that's why I like his personality. The person that works on his cars is Mr. Wizzard, and Hoovie has never, ever tried to hide that fact. Full credit always goes to Wiz.

it will take me 22 years of driving to get up to 175k
