YMMV
lol. Again all for entertainment. But he also goes over cars I like. He did the Porsche 959 which was a good review. Loved the Vector W8 review.

Tavarish is another one I like, but he's done nothinglately

hi it’s Schmee LoL he is pretty good with hyper cars, and seems like a down to earth guy, been YouTubing longer than all of them. Like 8 years.

You guys are wrong. Anyone that likes car does not drive them into the ground like he does. He’s a clown looking for clown clicks. You don’t drive cars that you know are about to suffer catastrophic failure until they blow, laugh about, and then claim you’re a car guy. This guy monetized being the class clown. Good for him, but he is no legit car guy. Heck most youtubers, influencers and TV show car guys are not. A real car guys show would be really informative and a bit boring.

Tough crowd. I don’t mind hoovies garage or cartrek, yes some (or most) of it is a little corny they seem to still be car guys- I do like the wizard mechanic segments the most though. As an aside the rapide he recently bought was pretty cool. That said tavarish seems more entertaining as he works on all his cars.

i maintain if you truly know anything about cars you should be be able to judge them at the point in history they were made.
I also have only seen one of his videos. I didn't hate it but on the other hand, it didn't motivate me to make an effort to watch any others. The video I saw was on a '80s e28 chassis BMW and I hear what you're saying about his 'take' on older cars. He was saying that BMW needs to make a back-to-basics car like the e28 for under $30k because there would be a huge demand for them today. He misses the point that the e28 was not 'basic' by '80s standards and it sold for ~$36,000 back then which is $86,000 in today's dollars.

Yup! Sadly, those channels don't get subscribers or as many views. People want to see train wrecks to be entertained.

we now live in a world where faked videos and pics online attract the most money, so we'll see more and more of it. Mediocrity is rewarded more than trailblazers.

one of my favorite engine builders is doing amazing work yet he has less than 2000 Subs. Such a shame.

He's building a 300 WHP 3.0L NA engine.

exactly. We live in a time where mindless entertainment rules. For those who have seen the movie "Idiocracy" you know we can't be far off from a movie like "***" or television shows like, "Ow! My *****!"

most of the youtube tube videos I have seen seem to follow along these lines.

I'll add it to the watch list. His Appolo 911 adventure was a fun one to follow.

Didn't we already have that with “Jackass”? I found it unwatchable.

Hoovie mentioned in the initial 996 video that he may take it to Porsche for a service evaluation. I look forward to the estimate from Porsche being more than what he paid for the car!

I have to think all day when I'm at work.

When at home I enjoy watching mindless dumb things at times. I don't mind Hoovie and know that he's making a living doing what he does so there's going to be some exaggerating taking place. I actually watched this episode on the TV the other night as my wife wanted no part of another stupid movie I watched (Jay and Silent Bob Reboot) and it came up on YouTube as a suggested video.

I then went on a Ferrari and yacht tangent as YouTube kept suggesting things to me, but in any case, mindless entertainment is ok if you understand it's mindless entertainment.

I'm only laughing because anybody that watches Hoovie videos knows he's always the first person to call out what a clueless goof he is - and that's why I like his personality. The person that works on his cars is Mr. Wizzard, and Hoovie has never, ever tried to hide that fact. Full credit always goes to Wiz.
