Fister Mod in Western PA??
Does anyone know a place in western PA or Eastern OH that will do (has done) the Fister Mod? I am new to the area but have called several shops and none have done it.
Alternatively would you trust a shop to do the hack if they never have before?

I think if you took to the fabricator some good pictures of what you want done and size pipe you want it done in, you would be fine

Fister Mod
The Fister offering is a good deal at $460 plus shipping. If you have a skilled local welding shop install a 1 3/4” stainless steel Tig welded cross-over pipe tightly positioned between the inlet and outlet pipes, it will not be inexpensive.
Fister does it economically considering the skill and work involved. Many local solutions are not 1 3/4” stainless cross-pipes, are MIG welded poorly and the cross over pipe is wide on the muffler.

Fister 996 3.4L mufflers showing the cross-pipe between the inlet and outlet.
The above set is an extra set that I may sell if anyone is interested. Located in SE PA.

Fister is the way to go
Thanks. This is helpful. I thought of buying from Fister but by the time I pay shipping twice and who knows the condition of the used muffler I am leary. I know my current mufflers are in very good condition so don't mind spending money on them to get done. Also considering just getting something new. On my 02 996 I had a Tubi system installed and loved it. I am not looking to spend that much though this time.
