Default Hard top question

Hi guys.

I'm in the market right now for a 996 C4 cab. I see some cars without the hard top and I wonder if it's easy to get one that matches the car (in and out) ? The thing is I want a daily driver, 4 seasons car so the hard top is a big plus in my situation.

Let me know !

Not to hard to find, particularly in black or silver with a black or grey interior. Check to see if you car has the hardware for the hardtop, look under the caps on the roll bar cover. There are two styles of hardware, one from the early year cars and one for the later year cars that hold more securely. The hardware used to be affordable but the price has gone way up in the last few years. I can tell you as someone who has driven their C4 year round for 20 years the hardtop is really nice in the wintertime.

Thanks Doug. So what you're saying is that a cab 911 without the hard top option didn't came equipped with the hard top hardware ?

I picked one up at Clairview Leasing in Montreal summer of 2019. They had a whole bunch. Might be worth a call to see if they still have one left kicking around.

I'm in Montreal and have an Ocean Blue available from mine.
I don't use it as I store mine every winter.
You can have a look at it anytime you like, the roof is stored at my warehouse on Saint Patrick street near the Atwater market.

Thanks for the offer but I'm more into unmodified cars, and I would prefer a C4.

Nico!
I was talking about the hardtop!
I am NEVER selling my car.
The hardtop is the same for the C2 or C4 so again, if the hardtop eventually interests you, you are welcome to have a look at it.
Cheers,
Peter
