I’d de-badge it rather than re-badge it. Or if you choose to re-badge it, go with “Porsche” or “911”.

It’s still a C4S. I would debadge if you feel the need to do something.

I don't think "should" is the right word. I don't think you "should"... as in you aren't compelled to now that you have converted to RWD.

Yes, remove the 4. Just S. are you going to document the weight loss of removing the differential? Sounds like a good idea to me.

That's been documented many time before. I like the idea of just the S, similar to the 993 S and 4S. Not sure how easy it will be to take of the lettering or if it will leave a mark so I may not do anything.

Opinions aside, when you peel up the 4 it will leave residue. Even if you get the residue off the paint will need a quick polish to make the color blend.
don’t expect to just peel the 4. Buy the badging you want new. Peel the whole thing and fix paint, then stick on what YOUR heart desires.
Do you feel like the car is faster?
I felt like the viscous clutch was unpredictable. I drove a couple years without the front drive, and learned how to comfortably slide a rear engined car (coming from 944’s and 986’s).
Once I was comfortable applying more pedal than the tires could handle I wanted more grip. I reinstalled the front drive.
Now I notice the cars aggressive pull around 30-50mph in the mountains that would have otherwise been tire slip. It feels more stable applying power mid turn.
I’ve considered going back to RWD. If I did it would be after I sourced some GT3 uprights and brakes to correct the geometry. I predict a nice sticky tire on the clean race track surface and the front drive is unneeded. But for now I’m digging the 4 in C4S.
