285/35/18 on my C2?

Thanks for this. Not a lot of 285/30 choices is the only reason for me going to "35" but stock 225/40 availability is not a problem so I did look into keeping fronts stock since I don't have PSM. Based on responses and other reading that there is no rubbing, etc with taller tires I may go to 225/45 front and this will make front and back diameter 26". Still, I kinda prefer the shorter sidewall on the front for the handling.

On my C2 with PSM, no issues street or track with 285/35 and any weird TC/PSM intervention.
Plenty of vids in my sig of how it worked for me.

For anyone else interested in the tires, they are the Michelin All Season 4S and, after 2k miles, so far so good. Of course you wouldn't want to get near the track with them but for the back roads and coastal cruising they are fine and should last. They came stock on the base Corvette so that's gotta be good, right?

I ended up sticking with 225/40/18 (8" rim) on the front and 275/35/18 (10" rim) for the rear. We mounted the 235's but they rubbed quite a bit. I think the Mk1's fender liner is more likely to rub than Mk2's, regardless, for my driving I'm not trying to get every cm of width so I just stuck with stock. Not going up to the 235 I dropped to the 275's in the rear and this matched the front/rear diameters to within 2/10s inch. Also, the speedo now reads only 1mph over at 70 whereas before with my 285/30's it was 4mph under. The ride is great but I replaced 13 year old Sumi's so anything would be an improvement.

Drifting
I just installed 235/40/18 and 285/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on my 996.1 last week and haven't had any issues with rubbing. Currently on stock suspension so there's a good amount of gap, coilovers are going on soon but from what I'm reading I don't think 285's are going to cause an issue.

We put on larger tires than stock at 235/40/18 front and 295/30/18 rear. Rear is slightly shorter than front and it doesn't look right, when they wear out we are planning on same size front and taller 285/35/18 rear. We also have a C2 with none of that electronic junk and will experiment to see if we can use spacers by temporarily placing different thickness washers behind wheels to check for rubbing issues.
fronts 235/40/18 18x8.5 53mm offset
rears 295/30/18 18x11 63mm offset
I have a 2001 C2 cab

295/30/18 will fit with enough negative camber...even with 11" 45ET wheels:
Even 315/30/18 tires will fit:
Up front, you can fit up to 275/35/18 tires, although I don't have a pic handy. Here, the car has 265/35/18 r-comps (which are about as wide or wider than non r-comp tires):
