BTW : it's probably self-explanatory, but the above post was made from my Rennlist Sponsor Account that I've had to set up to conform to the rules of Rennlist.
Having more than just one item to offer (the UAOS) , and adding UIDS changes things from "paid member" to " site sponsor" to stay in compliance to the rules...

Jake didn’t leave because he couldn’t “sell his stuff” (he doesn’t sell stuff…)… He felt/feels as though he’s got to pay for the privilege of being personally attacked…(being called a fear monger etc. for giving us information and letting us make informed decisions…).

Yeah, its a screwed up system…
”Here we give you the ability to offer free advice to our members, based on all of your experience, and accomplishments. The only catch is that you have to pay us to do this, else you can’t post the free information”
I can’t believe I was dumb enough to pay this for a decade. I guess I looked at it like I was giving something back to the community, so I’d give away the free info, and pay to do so. When that really becomes a triple negative is when you get into arguments and have people hate you for just sharing things the way you see them. Then it is literally paying for punishment.
For the 350.00 I was granted two “commercial posts” per month, and I never really used them. Every time I tried the trolls (who never bought anything from me and never will) would turn them down the wrong path, and what was positive would go negative. The moderation is marginal at best, so then you have a quadruple negative… What a pain in the ***.

Huh... FSI is leaving... who knew. @dporto you want to let the thread be about Skip and George's parts or are we devolving into another FSI whatever - just curious if I should keep checking back in the thread or not.

Understood and appreciated. Rennlist isn’t immune from general internal based communication issues (trolls). So what do you think of the oil starvation solution developed here? I’ve got 2001 986 that is track prepared but I haven’t taken it on the track in years, because of the oil starvation concerns.
I dont think u will get a comment either way from Jake on a product he doesnt make or has not tested.
jake has also commented many times on the oil issues but keeps his solutions close to his vest.
Skips invention will stand on its own merits.

My position on oil pressure issues and starvation have not changed. The right oil at the right temperature has proven effective to me. Internal changes to the oiling system are an added benefit.
Though many didn’t support my position on temperature aggravating this issue in the beginning over time their “squiggly lines” ended up somewhat supporting my position. I keep oil cool, and increase the circulation rate through the engine. Oil volume isn’t always reflected in a single pressure reading, and isn’t everything. Reviewing internal components after low oil pressure readings, and how they fare teaches valuable lessons in this equation that electronic data will never reveal. These things have formed my position, not reading, or looking at graphs. My position may change as I learn more, since we never stop learning. Now that almost every engine we build has reached 400HP, we see that the necessity for alterations in running clearances are more of a necessity. I see this more as the performance of the R43 continues to increase, making 460HP last week, and all without increasing the stock rev limiter, or even needing 7K RPM. In some of these cases we see the oil pressure have less of an impact, since centrifugal force of my stroked and modified crankshaft force feeds the oil to the connecting rod bearings.. These engines also have more favorable crankcase pressures, which also impact the overall scope of the oil control equation.
Skip offers solid products, I have faith in his abilities to continue to do so. You won’t see me support many initiatives outside of my own, but Skip rates my respect because he believes in simple approaches, and effectiveness through practical application development, and testing..

This is great news!
Just like the IMS Solution, the UIDS looks like an effective and permanent fix for a known problem.
I don’t track my 996 but I’m still interested.
Is there data showing comparable oil pressures with and without the UIDS on a track that causes oil starvation?
Sorry if I somehow missed it.
