No experience with it, but...

Great job. I think it looks fantastic. Matches to your side decals nicely!
You sold me! I just wrapped my truck and the wheels need to be black, but I don't want to buy more wheels. This will be the next job for me. Thanks for sharing.

Good luck. Fun to try stuff. My finish is a little rough. We will see how well they wash.
Did drivers side today. Painted center caps too. Will drive for a while to see if I want to take the paint plunge.

You spray on glossifier after your satisfied with your color coats. The more coats the glossier it gets.

I’ve been wondering if it would come off easily. Or if removal would be difficult.

For a temporary and cheap way to see if I like the look, I’ve considered doing a DIY vinyl wrap on the wheels. I’m absolutely NOT a pro, so I know there would be flaws. And I know a wrapped wheel would not stand up to weather, heat, and car washes. But for a short time and from a distance, it might look good enough to help decide whether to get wheels refinished.

What do you mean? If the wheels are off the car there are no lugs. You want to paint inside the bore because it'd look silly if they were still silver and the rest of the wheel "X" color. That little bit of paint won't affect being able to get a socket on the lug to remove the wheels for service.

If you paint them while they're still on the car with lug nuts (I did this on my BMW), I just curled painters tape around the diameter of the lug and folded it over to cover the tops. This is the lazy way.

Looks awesome. The process looks pretty complex though.
