Default Crank Position Sensor Stuck/Seized

I’m replacing a faulty CPS on a 2002 C4S. The CPS is stuck and won’t budge. I have been soaking it with PB Blaster for a couple days. Any suggestions on how to get it out?

Try rotating it to break the bond between the O-ring and the engine. Once you rotate the mounting ear off to the side you can use the mounting ear to pry it out - carefully. Keep rotating it while you're doing this. Cut the wire off, if you need to.

I can’t seem to get a good grip on it. I don’t want to cut the wire in case I need to drive it to the shop to have them do it.

Use a screwdriver or a punch to tap it radially. The impacts help to break the stiction. Tap the ear if you can get to it.

Update. I had to take it into the shop. Took them 3 hours to work it loose.

Wow! In my neck o the woods that would have been $500 in labor... I would have gladly spent a few hours under the car and kept that cash in my pocket
