996.1 Intermittent Steering feedback
I have a funny issue on my 99 C2 and I am not having much luck searching, maybe it is due to terminology. I'll do my best to describe the issue.
My car's steering has started to feel different. I can only describe it as a lack of feedback, very similar to the way my old 89 ford pickup used to drive. The wheel turns super easy, and feels like the hydraulic system is either on or off, with no nuance to the steering feeling. Occasionally, it will stop and the car feels connected again, but soon it returns to feeling light again. It felt great when I got it but I am wondering if these Atlanta pot holes have done something to the front suspension. It does not feel loose like worn tie rods, the problem feels like a hydraulic problem.
Before I go throwing money at it, has anyone experienced this and can you tell me some usual suspects to check?
