I decided to go with one refurbished wheel, https://www.wheelcollision.com/store...911CARRERA.htm

Should be here the week after Thanksgiving, I'll post pics, results.

Thanks for all the help!

File a claim with the city and hope to get reimbursed. Sometimes you get lucky.

Until I read this post, I didn't realize which wheels you had. Good choice to replace the bent wheel. Yours are, IMHO, the best looking wheel Porsche has done since the Fuch.

I like mine but would like to have them refinished or replaced. That price sounds reasonable. Looking forward to seeing how the replacement looks.

Makes sense. Given you time to pick out the second set of wheels!

For daily street driving, a slightly heavier wheel/tire combo will survive better on rough roads and won't make a noticeable difference on turning and responsiveness. You are driving public streets, not the Daytona 500.

I don't track the car but I'm one of the Tourmasters for Longhorn Region and I do drive very briskly out in the middle of nowhere, so I do want to have the benefit of a not to heavy wheel.

AKA MY02 wheels. lean and mean. Lightweight with a lot of daylight. Look great especially with clean barrels.

Mine are dirty and full of left over residue from previous balance jobs. I can see the value of just putting it in a box and getting a new (to me) one in return.

It takes a lot of work but the dirt and wheel weight goo can all be removed. You should have seen my wheels when I bought my car!

I’ve got curb rash and one of the rears is dented and has that out of round sound to it. Pull the tires, send them out, nice and easy.

TBH I doubt that the aforementioned wheels that are all optimized regarding weight are more robust than your original wheel as OEMs have internal standards also wrt impact loading that generally surpass the requirements that an aftermarket wheel has to fulfil in order to be allowed for use on a public road (in Europe).
That is highly unlikely, that wheel bends alot & it takes a high speed hit to crack it. Normally it just bends & there are shops that can straighten the bend. I have been running these wheels since 2003 & never had to replace one. That doesn't mean I don't have spares .

If you ever tire of them, I'll gladly buy them from you!
