So I have this bra...
I have an old school Bra. You know the type, they were way cool back in the day.
I was thinking of fitting it on for long road trips but what are the opinions of these in the days of ppf?
Are they too dorky now? I am aware of the dangers of using one and can fit it without paint damage.
Does anyone else use one?

PPF is a much better option. Expensive initial cost but don't have to remove it when you don't want your car not to look ugly.

I used one on my 944 and left it on long after a rain storm one time many years ago. When I pulled it off the paint underneath was faded, like it got baked with humidity and heat, and there was a wear line on the front panel at the edge of the bra. Off went the bra and sold it. Don't use a bra on the front of the car.

My car came with one stored in the frunk. Read too many bad stories so I am looking for a trashed bumper to put it on and mount it on the wall in rec room
I also just had aero kit installed, rock chips required hood to be resprayed and now ppf on bumper and hood so I'm covered, literally.

Back in the late 80s, I had a bra on my red 1986 VW Scirocco 16V and it faded clouded paint after being left on following a rain storm.
I took it off and never re-installed it again.
The paint eventually went back to normal.

I have a mask and a bra. I have only used this combination twice on trips over 1500 miles. The instructions advise you not use in the rain. I have used the mask only for a few shorter trips. No paint damage and I don't leave them on for long periods of time.

Over the past 20 years I have had the PPF on my car and replaced it 2x. I will replace it again over the next year or so. I highly recommend it.
You never really know it's there unless you look very closely and boy does it save your paint from flying debris. I keep my car in my garage, so it doesn't sit out in the sun or in bad weather on a daily basis, so I haven't seen any yellowing. I replace it when there are one too many marks that develop from being hit by flying road stuff.

Bumper bra is good for auto-x cone impacts, good for track too except it’s looks ridiculous. The piece that goes over the frunk cover definitely helps at the track…well until it doesn’t.
Look no chips!

You could burn it - that would by my suggestion.
