Default 2004 996 4s - Tail Light Broken

So, been looking all over for a replacement tail light for this. The plastic (yes plastic---why Porsche!!??) connector that you use to attach it to the car (with the 1 screw) is broken. So the tail light doesn't sit right. I cannot find a replacement other than OEM at like $700 a pop.

I called Pelican and they have a kit to, "fix," the tail lights but there isn't much info on it on their site. I cannot figure out how it actually works either so not even sure it'll work for what I need it for. You can see the kit here.

Curious as to whether anyone has used this to correct this same problem or if anyone has any suggestions on where to get a replacement that isn't a fortune.

I realize there aren't as many wide bodies out there so not as much on the aftermarket side.

Thanks.

I have been using those on my car for years. They are also on ebay for cheaper. Search "lightsavers".

Unless you intend to replace the lights in the near future, spend the extra money to get the metal version of the light savers. The plastic version only lasted about 4 years.

Thanks for the replies! Been searching for replacement lights for months. Glad I found these! Didn't want to spend $1400 for a set of lights!!
