Except the wires gojng to the 02 (after the plug) look fine. U need to either repair or replace the harness section. Places like DC Auto or LA Dismantlers can sell u a used section of harness to splice in.

When I first got my 996.1 had similar problem. Had a slew of dash lights on, this was 1 of them. Just spliced wires back together with butt connectors. Was going to solder them at a future date after taking care of more pressing problems, but its been over a year and o2's been working great since my butt connector repair...
Even if you need to remove damaged factory connectors and neatly/correctly splice wires together with male/female butt connectors, o2's will work fine.
Do you have a check engine light on..?
LOOK FAMILIAR, guessing those o2 wires are especially tasty....

I was told that the reason Rodents like to eat the wiring is that they use Corn Starch in the rubber insulation..
I had a fairly new 997 that came to me in the shop with the check engine light on, it had just left the body shop where they had to replace the whole rear bumper and repaint the left rear quarter panel due to the owners German Shepard had eat the side off the car and torn the bumper off..I found the code for faulty 02 Sensor and when I traced it down, a Rodent had chewed the wiring up where it went into the firewall . I was telling the Service Manager.what I found, and he was telling me about the German Shepard eating the side off the car and that the owner was going to get rid of the DOG, I told him to call the owner and tell him not to get rid of the DOG, the Dog was just doing his job trying to protect the Porsche from the Rodent, he needed to apologize to the Dog and reward him...lol
