How many of you drive your 911's during the winter months?
Hello,
I am new to these boards and do not own a Porsche, but was curious as of how many of you drive your cars through the salty and snowy winter months? I live in Michigan and as some of you know, the winters can get pretty nasty. I have seen a few 911's at a few Porsche dealers during winter with snow tires and I think that is pretty cool to see these vehicles driven all year long here in Michigan. Please post photos if you have any.
All the best,
Jordan

THis is my first year with the C4S but I plan to drive it through the winter. I have just bought a set of snow tires and a spare set of wheels and hope to switch over this weekend.
If the weather gets extreamly bad then I will either work from home or take the bus but most of the time I plan to use the car (or the motorcycle on some of the clearer days)

I drove mine (Yoko AVS winters) today which is a great example of winter magic on our roads, no problems. I drive the C2 all year round. The only time I regretted driving the C2 was on REALLY slick freezing rain where the rear engine weight pendulum thing made itself obvious. That day driving anything was insane just more so with $100K.

Driving all-wheel Pcars in the winter is a hoot. I have eithe Blizzaks or 210/240s on ea car..........You can easily leave SUVs far behind and in the corners.........well, its great practice for summer autocross.
Lifes too short to not have fun driving.

Like I said I drive mine everyday. If I know it's going to snow, alot, I will take the train in, otherwise I drive. I was caught in both blizzards last year with summer tires, the car did ok, just ok. I am going to pick up some snow tires this yr though.
I do clean it often, to lessen salt exposure. I think these cars are meant to be driven daily, the ones that seem to have problems tend to be garage queens or sunny day only cars.
Drive your cars!

I drive my C4 daily. Put snows on and it does fine. This will be the first winter since I lowered it. That might prove interesting if we get some deep snow!
