Default How to get code from airbag

Is there a way to get the code for airbag light without taking to the dealer? The light came on a few weeks ago and I read about the TSB's with it and waned to narrow it down to be able to do the work myself. Thanks

You need a dealer or independent with the PST2 or the newer tester to read air bag fault codes.

Default Failed airbag

Dealer says that this is a known problem and Porsche is offering to pay 50% of the bill-about $500.00. The airbag system will not deploy with the light on (good to know). This is all the result of a slightly off millivoltage reading for the driver's side seat belt receiver. The service manager did think that they will recall it and repair...when is the question.

He offered to "flash" the light when ever I wanted at no charge, however when I started the car the light was back on again.
