I have noticed from time to time that P. owners seem to also own motorcycles - is this the need for speed? I will confess to owning a 1000cc Suzuki GSXR as my 2nd favourite toy. What I can never understand when riding the bike are WRX/EVO0 owners who try to drag the bike off at the lights. Zero to 60mph in under 3secs, who are they kidding. Never, never try to race a bike even in a Porsche.
So lets hear what bikes are ridden out there.

I ride as well, I have an 03 GSXR-750.I have played with other bikes in the car not 1/4 mile but top speed, our Porsche do pretty well against a bike at over 240 K ( for those of you whom are boy scouts it was on a track) for those of you who don't give a **** what others do it was on the highway. Pick which one doesn't upset you and use that. I don't want to hear its wrong to ride/drive at those speeds.I agree that Porsche guys have a need for speed

15 Bikes in the last 15 years for me. There's nothing else out there that can give you that massive acceleration. My last big bike was a Kawi ZRX1200. Now I'm down to a CRF250 and a 72 Triumph Bonnie that I work on more than ride, but thats part of the fun for me. There are so many good bikes out there these days its hard to choose. I'm wating for a really good (powerfull) Supermotard for the street. KTM is getting close.

Yes, there is something out there that accellerates as fast as a bike.
It's called a blown Viper (DLM supercharged -> Florida tuner).
Not kidding. There's even some footage on the web of the Viper hanging in with a Busa.

1982 Harley Davidson FXR.
I told myself this would be the last motorcycle I would buy new. So far I am right. After owning other Harleys, Triumphs, AJS, BSA, Royal Enfield, Yamaha and Honda, I still prefer to ride my old Harley.
The only thing that sounds as good as a Harley is a Ryan PT22 running a Kinner engine.
Might consider getting an old Hydro-Glide some day to restore.
