Anyone from Vancouver, B.C.?
I took a 300km round trip yesterday on the Sea-To-Sky to Whistler and back. They've been repaving most of the road, the weather is terrific this time of year, and if you go on a weekday the traffic isn't bad. Thick mountains, waterfalls, and sheer cliffs on one side, and the beautiful ocean on the other. Kilometer after kilometer of twisty fun stuff, along with the occassional long, open straight to stretch your legs. Not to mention the fine dining when you reach the resort town of Whistler. It's heaven.
I strongly recommend anyone heading this way to make the trip.
P.S. I'll have some pictures for you soon. Just gotta get them uploaded.

Shhhhh, it's our little secret. If everybody knew what we had here we'd be inundated with tourists. Been in the mid-80's locally and almost froze in the fog in Monterey a few weeks ago at 54. Brrrrr.

To see how long it would take someone to notice.
There's a June 2001 post with no responses from a user who last logged in this month! That's amazing. I was tempted to PM him to bump his thread.

DaMann;
Did you by any chance carry on a bit further and do the drive from Campbell River to Gold River?
If you didn't, you severely missed out in at least 2 ways:
1. it is a beautiful twisty road especially suited for our type of cars and motorcycles going through beautiful Strathcona Park, hence very little traffic ... and I mean very little traffic;
2. that road gives you access to many out-of-this-world hiking trails throughout the Park.
Happy BC motoring, mon ami!

No I didn't go that far. I have family in CR so stopped there. I go there quite often though so next time I might take a burn up to Gold River. I've been up that way before but not in my Porsche. Stunning scenery up there!

It's a nice drive for sure.
It's just a shame you get these people who do the same speed in the outside lane as the guy on the inside lane ( only 2 lanes) which is standard Vancouver driving procedure it seems and there are a lot of sped/radar cops on the whole stretch as it's the only place in Vancouver where you can stretch your legs a little ...sometimes ..if your careful...
