Personally I like 993's, TT's that is, I'm looking at one now in fact. Don't forget the na 993 has demons of it's own, far worse than the rms in the m96/7 motors. The m64 na engine is notorious for valve guide problems, usually a 7k fix. The fact that Porsche early on in the m96 series chose to replace motors with persistant rms fails is hardly a condemnation of the design, just a corporate decision based on dollars and cents.

Me thinks you are pointing the gun in the wrong direction. It's been my experience that the "air-cooled" guys tend to knock the new cars as "soft" and the new owners as cup holder loving latte drinkers that spend money from stock options on Porsches newest poseurmobiles.

In fact, I believe the opposite of your assertion is true. Most on this forum have a great deal of respect for the older cars and in fact many of us started out in old 911's (and still love them today). Additionally, most of the "bashing" comes from the other side (look to the moldy figs for your barbs, it sounds like you are already a card carrying member).

I'm not an "aircooled guy" or a "watercooled guy". I'm a Porsche guy!! I love them all (and that includes the Porsches that have their engines up front)!! If I had Seinfeld's ATM card, I'd have a garage full of Porsches to satisfy my cravings, but for now my two current wasserpumpers will have to do.

Tell that Evo owner Ill take him to "Pinks" on any road course. GT3's are not drag racing cars kid.
There are plenty 996TT's that are set up for drag racing that would smoke the aformentioned Evo. BTW, you are giving 993 guys who are truly passionate about their cars a bad name.

The guy has no point to articulate and can't even write properly. Just ignore him.

It's grammar.

This shouldn't turn personal, the thread is pretty funny...
