My first Porsche
Good morning everyone ,
After spending a few months on European sites, I am today posting my first message on your site.
I am 35 years old, based in France, married, 2 kids and a few months ago I managed to buy my first "toy".
You will find below some picture and I am looking forward sharing with you some comments, questions and answer on our cars.
A brief description first (sorry for the approximations in the translation, please correct and I will edit if necessary) :
996 C4 3.4 june 2001 (Porsche Approved Car)
31000 miles when bought (about 35000 now)
C05 : France
XPR : 5mm spacers
XSC : Porsche logo on headrest
XX1 : floor mats with leather rims
XX2 : floor lighting
X54 : stainless steel exhaust
X70 : stainless steel Carrera logo (when door opened)
X71 : Aluminium dials background
X97 : Aluminum/leather shifter and parking brake
X99 : Full natural leather
236 : 18" alloy wheels
288 : light washer
413 : 18" alloy wheels Turbo Look 1
425 : Rear wipper
437 : electric seat left
438 : electric seat right
448 : Porsche color logo on alloy wheels
454 : cruise control
537 : lumbar adjustment left
601 : Litronic
650 : Sunroof
659 : On board computer
662 : PCM
663 : PCM phone system
692 : CD charger
939 : soft leather back seats
981 : full leather on top of X99
982 : soft leather
And an extra one quite interesting : PSE !!! YES !!!
The car is excellent to drive, it is a real pleasure and the combination of colour was too good for me to miss that car.
I wish you all a good day.
Nicolas

<---JEALOUS of your natural interior and I want a leather-stitched steering-wheel!
You'll notice if you look close, your dials are ALUMINIUM.
NICE CAR BRO!!! What year? 2001?

-> jsaindc : thanks, I can imagine why you like the color of the leather
-> Bos : thanks
-> arr0gant : thanks, I corrected the color of the dials. Car was produced in June 2001, probably one of the latest 3.4

Salut Nicolas,
First of all beautiful car, and welcome! Where are you located in France? My brother live South of Paris in a small city of Thiais. Each time I go there to visit him, I really enjoy the driving on the autoroutes Though traffic is bad around the "Peripheries" during rush hour, but beside that the roads are pretty nice. Is it true that lately the Police has been harsh on speeders? Oops! also radar detectors are not allowed in Europe, right? Be careful then with this bullet. Enjoy

Thanks to the last 3 members for using my language
I am based in the North of France close to the Belgium border. I am sure that I will find some of my web contacts on this forum as I sometimes see some links to this site, but feel free to visit the following address : http://www.911net-club.com/forums/
It is in French but you could find some nice pictures especially in this section : http://www.911net-club.com/forums/fo...lay.php?fid=34 It summarises our formal and unformal meetings...

Nicolas - welcome to the best Porsche Forum on the 'net. Very nice P-car. The natural leather looks awesome! Your written English is very well done, better than some Americans!
By the way, the "rear wiper" will be very handy if you have still kids in diapers!
