I'll give it a try. It looks like it's running into the dash though. I'll post a pic if A-piller removal doesn't work.

On my 2000, I ran the V-1 wire down behind the A pillar (easy to remove), and then through a seam in the dash right at the bottom of the pillar. No sweat.

The dashboard of my '02 996 cabriolet ate the rocker switch that controls the up-down operation of the top. The top was down and rain threatened. I pushed the rocker as usual to raise (close) the top and the switch backed into the dash. It is visible but recessed now and cannot be rocked to either side - nothing is supporting it. How do I get to it to repair- really refasten- or do I have to replace god know what.

The panel section that houses that switch is easily pried of with a little care and a (preferably) plastic blade of some sort.

Pop it off, reinsert the switch from the rear, press piece back on.

Thumbs up

Kim - Thanks for the hint - Don't know if this is a related issues but I was able to raise the top (close) using the door lock/key procedure. Now however, the door lock/ key procedure does not function - the top will not go down. Ah, the joys of Porsche ownership - I was told that the door/key malfunction has to do with clearing out some codes which somehow will then enable the door/key to again work. I'll work on the rocker switch first. Thanks again. Brad - '02 C4 cab, triple black but the black is a pain to keep gleaming!
