I got my wife a new diamond ring. Don't have to worry about any "mods complaints" this month.
I just had all new appliances put in the kitcken and new landscaping.

That will keep her quiet for a couple months

I think she understands the need. And plus - I am always in a better mood after I get out of the car than before I got in. So she sees the end benefit as actually hers, not mine.

she like it when we all (with 2 daughters in the back seat) go out a fun summer evening drive.
she hates me detail the car 11PM at night.

Unfortunatley for me that won't work. I have only a 4 minute commute to work. I can usually hold out that long. Not always of course but most of the time.

Mine knows I love the car and enjoys seeing me enjoy the car.

That is so cool. I know Barnsley pretty well... never knew they did plate auctions there.

Wife loves the C2 (and all previous P-cars) but absolutely HATES the beater ('87 Buick S/W) that I bought to drive to work on snowy days in DC. She makes me park it around the corner in front a the neighbor's house. DC and snow don't mix, and this is a true beater. But the P-car has always been welcome in the family

Ouch. What happened to the engine? That would give anyone a sour taste.

My wife likes cars more than she admits, and she appreciates the quality and gorgeous look of the 996 C4S. She doesn't understand what it does for me, and likely never will - but she knows it's important to me to have a toy car, whether a Porsche or something else. It's much, much cheaper than a divorce. Her attitude is "Life is short - get what you want and enjoy it!" She's a honey! My wife is great, too!

3 points for the funniest quote of the week! In all honesty, why should they hate a car you love? My wife doesn't share my passion for these things, nor do I share hers for baskets/flowers/romance novels, the list goes on. She likes that it makes me happy, and thats all i can ask for

Mine was fine with my toys until the recent purchase of the GT3. She was fine with the Ninja motorcycle, traded it in and got Jet Skis, traded those in and got a Z3, traded that in and got an M3, traded the M3 in and got the GT3.

It's now been put in my face 2-3 times recently when I complain about wasted expenses such as "Why did you take the kids to that Dentist when we have dental insurance with this other dentist?" BOOM, Porsche purchase put back in my face and how much it cost.

I finally had enough and told her your "lucky I didn't get a Ferrari!!!!" Don't know where this will go. Never, EVER had a problem with buying and enjoying my toys. Together 20 years married 14. I don't understand it

Okay, the C2 had a half an aerokit, then I finished putting the other half on....so I have a he and a she.....does that mean I go both ways? I'm so confused!!

My wife was somewhat fine with my obsession until I used her toothbrush to clean the brake calipers. OOPS
