Heel mat/Pedal Mat Part Deux
In a previous post I wrote that my heel mat (below the floormat) was peeling on the left hand side. It's in pretty bad shape and even if reglued, it won't look right. So I asked if there was a manufacturer of aluminum pedal mats that could cover my peeling rubber mat. I was turned on to the AutoVation.net website (they make aluminum pedals and mats for Porsche) by a poster here.
Now the question is - How does one affix a medal mat to the floor of a 911?
Are there any wires under the floor that I need to worry about?
Any input would be of great help.
Thanks,
Mike

I actually just did something similar and I was considering the Autovation product. However, I found and bought a cheap aluminum heel pad on Ebay (something like $10 bucks shipped) and it came with a set of screws with nuts that mounted only to the carpet mat. So you could try that route with the Autovation product which is probably a better heel pad. I will eventually buy a pair of Lloyd mats but I just wanted to see how the aluminum heel pad would look and I was going to have to toss the mats anyway. My other consideration was the Natural Grey carpet color which I am worried might be a little tough to match unless I want with Porsche OEM mats.

But... on the floor
I'm speaking of mounting this on the floor, NOT the floormat. So I was really looking for guidance on that note.
Thanks for the replies.
