Default My '02 996 C4S FOR $42.5K FINALLY ARRIVED FROM NAPLES.....here's the report!!

Hi all,

Geez....took forever for my car to arrive. It is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! I couldn't be happier.

As some of you have been following....I bought this car from Naples Porsche and had it shipped to me in NY.

It has 35K on the clock....options are backup assist...full supple leather, Advanced Technic, Painted console (one of my faves), colored center crests for the wheels, alum. brake lever and shifter, black mats.

I Paid 42.5K

THIS CAR IS CERTIFIED. I have attached a picture of the certificate.

There was a disclosure that the car had some paintwork on the driver's side. One of our members pm'd me and advised me he looked at the car when it was for sale privately, but passed. He was kind enough to forward me the PPI he had done on the car....all in all....no issues but for the paintwork and a vibrating tailpipe, which must have been taken care of as this car sounds just incredible. I have a lift at home, first thing I did was put it up. THERE ARE ZERO ISSUES. Car is as clean as can be for it's age. Everything looks in order. Better yet, I cannot tell that any paintwork occurred, so I am happy as a pig in ****.

So, I watch it come off the truck and really start getting super excited, as if I wasn't already. Funny.....the *** looked soooo big when it was in the truck.

After unloading it....I fire it up and head back to court.....the LONGGGG way. I had it up to 120 within 10 minutes....just wanted to make sure there was no issues with the tracking. Geez....this car drives as strait as an arrow. Seriously...let go of the wheel at 100 and it tracked perfectly. No shimmy or vibrations at high speeds whatsoever.

I F'N LOVE THIS CAR. IT IS RIDICULOUS. No door dings.....a small scatch on the rear ....that's it. I don't care. For what I paid....I feel like I stole it. Did I mention I love this car?

People say that you don't get that feeling with this car like you do when you see your air cooled sitting in the garage. That is now a myth. I love both my cars, but this new addition really gets my blood flowing......wifey loves it too.

Interior is just like new....the leather smells fantastic. No exaggerations there. THIS CAR IS SPOTLESS. If it had some work done....I simply don't care.

My pix are not the greatest as I took them just before sunset, and on a low pix. setting so I can fit a load of them, but I know I'll get decaptitated if I don't post them.....so....here ya go.

I promised my dealer I would give him a shout out if all fared well.....which it did. I couldn't be happier.

KUDOS TO KEN LUCAS AT NAPLES PORSCHE!!!. He was incredible throughout the process. Made this transaction incredibly simple. Returned each and every one of my phone calls if he didn't pick up himself. I strongly encourage anyone shopping for any Porsche to contact him....he's fantastic. His direct line is 239-289-5053. He is very reasonable and is easy to work with and I think he can locate any car you desire.

P.S. Clear side markers being installed tonight.....so no flaming on the pumpkins! I learn fast here.

Best,
Jon

No, you need either the x73, or the RoW -20mm kit, both replace shocks and struts. Stock is a little lame. x73 really wakes it up, transforms the whole car.
Congrats btw, I miss mine already!

Looks great I think I would get with bumperplugs and put a Red S on the back to go with your brakes.

$42K is insane. I paid $52K for an '02 with 29K miles back in April, but then it did have quite a few more goodies than yours.

All in all, I ended up spending $69K total to get my car setup the way I needed it to be ASAP.

Enjoy, dude. That rear end in gray looks siq. C4S is the best looking 996 after the GT2.

Good for you!! Absolutely the best deal anyone has ever gotten on a clean CPO'd '02. So glad everything is "right".

Gorgeous car!!

Bumperplugs (You're welcome, Eric) and lose the tape deck/cartridge holders
