A/C Control

Mine bled and was replaced under warranty. Nothing you can really do if an LCD goes bad but replace it. You see the units on Ebay on a regular basis at way below dealer cost. I think I remember seeing a post on replacing the LCD instead of the whole control on one of the Pcar sites, either here, Renntech or 6 spped online. You might try some searches. Replacing the unit itself is a simple 15 minute job.

Jurichar's instructions on how to replace just the LCD display are somewhere, but I know for sure they are Renntech.

An old item but -I need to replace my broken/bleeding LCD A/C-panel on my 986-Boxster from 2004.
My question: Is the Audi-display compatible with Porsche? Does it look the same?

Link is not working. There was a company on ebay that had the led, but it was listed for Audi. It worked but was a bit too large. The company then came out with a small unit for 986/996. Someone on renntech used it and it worked fine.
I think this is the website for the company that was/is selling them.

If you want the original factory look. I'd highly recommend this...

The guy at 914Rubber.com makes replicas of the original LCD displays. They are perfect, I have one in my car. (which is why I have a spare Audi display)
