I use 303 but I've also seen cars with Poorboys and it looks as good or better. Most of the professionals on Autopia seem to prefer the diluted Woolite formula mentioned above.

Let me take this one.

You should take care of the interior of your car for 2 very important reasons:
1) plasticizer is used in the plastic surfaces of your interior. Slow evaporation of plasticizer over time causes hardening of your plastic surfaces, this can lead to embrittlement and cracking.
2) UV exposure from sunlight accelerates point #1 in addition to causing degradation of the plastic.

Lesson here? i) give your car regular treatment with vinyl/leather treatments to keep them looking sexy and protect them from harmful UV ii) use a windshield cover during the summer to protect the interior of your car from the harsh summer sun.

Those "nasty" (sarcasm intended) chemicals that you're rubbing into the surface of your car replace the plasticizer that you've lost as well as replenish the other additives such as UV stabilizers that will have naturually degraded.

Just a thought.

Zaino is the best for that. Doesn't change the patina of the leather and has the best smell.

I use Zaino leather cleaner, then I use their Leather conditioner.

the poster was referring to "Chemeciles", not chemicals. there is a difference you know.

What is 303?

hmm, yes. and it wasn't just someone that has no clue how to spell?

I could be generous and wonder if it was an innovative french canadian (not french) spelling.

Aerospace 303...and they have some free samples for you.

It is better than leather conditioner for the dash as it protects the dash rather than conditions it (which you don't want to do as Porsche uses special treatments to remove moisture from the leather on purpose) SPF=40.

I ordered some instead because I'm too lazy to send them an envelope. Do you use it on the seats also?

No...I use Zaino Z10 on seats....I only use 303 on the leather that gets exposed to the sun...dashboard, pillars and doors.

Mark: You haven't lost your sense of humor...the dry chemical extinguisher definitely removes the shiny look. Whoever it was that mentioned a 1 to 5 mix of Woolite it right on. I've used it for cleaning leather as well as the dash. It's a great product that's overlooked because it's not specifically marketed as an interior cleaner like Armoral or the other products....but it works extremely well. You should really give it a try....a hell of a lot cheaper too I might add.

+1 on 303 for the leather dash and a true conditioner on seating surfaces. BTW, I used the woolite mix to clean off the interior of our new Infiniti FX35; the thing looked disgusting, like a couple of sumos had an oil wrestling match in there. I guess it was the dealer's idea of "detailing". Once I got that armorall crap off, I applied 303 to the dash and doors and Lexol to the seats.
