Default The wait is over!

It's been 10 years since I sold my last Porsche, and I'm finally getting back into one today! I am picking up my '99 coupe this afternoon in Minneapolis. I'll have a nice 3 hour drive home, I can't wait. I was the guy who a few weeks ago posted about the flood damage, but that car sold. I found a better one the day I found out the other sold. Thanks to whoever it was that directed me to Carsoup.com. That is where I found the beaut. Black on Black. Sport suspension and sport seats. Fabspeed exhaust. It is exactly what I was looking for. I'll post some pics when I get back - as soon as I figure out how.

Congrats!!!!!!!!!
Have fun driving it back (don't be surprised if you subconsciously make a 2 -3 hour additional detour on the way home!)

I directed you to carsoup. Which one did you pick-up? The blue with fabspeed or the other one?

Congratulations by the way! Take 61 south and then cross at Winona, nice drive but adds a few hours.

Well, I'm back. What a car. I had a blast. What made it more fun is that my Dad gave me a ride to Minneapolis in his 997 Cabriolet, so we sorta raced home. 2 black 911's cruisin down 94. Great fun.
However, we stopped for dinner half way home and I noticed a creaking in the steering when parking. Pretty obnoxious and I did not notice it on the test drive. I just had it out again and it is still doing it. Power steering fuid low maybe. Creaks mostly when wheel is on center and diminishes the more you turn. Any ideas (I need a new keyboard. My question mark doesn't work!!!!)

Also, how the heck do you post pics

Congratulations on the purchase.

In regards to the power steering, it does sound like to fluid may be low.

Here she is. Hopefully I posted it correctly. Just figuring this stuff out. These pics are from the owner, I haven't taken any myself yet. Sport suspension, sport seats, Fabspeed exhaust, aluminum trim, white gauges, 18's. I think that's about it... Absolutely love it!
