Default The wings of love:" Porsche Halo"

3. There's no way that I can look at these add-ons (and outrageous wheels) without the word "bling" coming to mind.

4. The last lowered car I had annoyed me by forcing me to drive more slowly over bumps and driveway/parking lot entrance grades. I like the look of a lowered car, but don't like how the probability of damaging the car impinges on my enjoyment of driving it.

These comments come from someone who values ideas like original, preservation, restoration, and heritage when it comes to Porsches. For those who like mods, there are legions of people who simply enjoy the purity of our car's original design and equipment. The Porsche platform fortunately gives all of us the opportunity to enjoy the cars in any configuration - stock or modded. Cie le vie!
I know a lot of P people love the natural Porsche Design of the 996 but I think the after market kits, and lowering the car really makes the car the most beautiful of all cars. Although there are some limitations to lowering and the 19inch wheels, when I look and drive this car I am most happy, it is the ultmate Prosche this side of one hundred grand.

Default DE Photo

Here's an updated picture of my 996 aero during the Carolinas PCA DE at Virginia International Raceway. It never felt like a 10 year old car the entire time - absolutely amazing piece of machinery.

I rode in my instructor's 1999 996 (also a mk1 aero), and only the suspension and exhaust had been modified to improve performance on his now dedicated track car, and it was an unbelievable experience. The power and handling were incredible.

Didn't see any Cobalt blues so I had to add mine. Just recently painted the Sport Classic II's. I agree with smshirk, I need to lower mine as well.

lOWERING CAR WILL GIVE i THINK THE BEST SUSPENSION PERFORMANCE, BUT THIS WILL LIMIT YOUR SPEED BUMP AND DRIVE WAY DEXTERITY. i AM STILL DECIDING WHAT MY CAR IS FOR IT MIGHT BE JUST FOR THE OPEN ROAD AND THE JETTA FOR COFFEE BUMPS.

Does anybody have any pictures of a 996 with a aero kit however without the tail (guards red if possible). I have all of the pieces except the tail. I am thinking of putting on the bumper and side skirts however I cannot figure out if it will look good. My wife would be much happier if I didn't spend any money on a wing.

Here you go - it looks fine without the tail. I ran mine this way for 18 months.
