Nothing will replace the feeling. I learned that quickly after just a couple of test drives in a 993 and 996, even coming from a modified M3.

Like that guy selling his 996TT for a 335/135/whatever... that's going "backwards."

Ain't it the truth?! If I sell this car, I will hate myself in the morning.

Good choice...I have been weighing the same exact options as you....once you get an M3 to a reliable, non-unibody tearing state of trackable, you are in the realm of the cost of a 996 that is a lot more fun to drive.

why you ask?

I just came back from my shop, and I had a smile on my face for the whole trip back. Screw it. I love this thing WAY to much.

Sorry folks that were interested. She's no longer for sale.

Chad,

Your car is one of a kind with history and plenty of TLC. Don't let it go ever. (unless you want to sell to me of course )

Actually, I'm glad you decided to keep your Porsche. Knowing little about your BMW interest as a possible replacement, I felt you had really bonded with the 'white whale', and you performed so many mods so quickley to make her your track car and DD.Good choice in my book!

chad...good choice!! mod the heck out of it...isnt that what its all about. the sun roof delete was for the true enthusiast that plans to drive the car to its full potential...therefore all the mods to that end will compliment the car in lieu of diminishing its value and purpose.

Chad do whatever you want dude, but here is my input:

If you sell the car now before you go full on tracking with her and make further mods, you can get a pretty penny for it and your target audience will be larger.

If you mod it more and track it more, your target audience will reduce a lot and your sale price might be less.

But then of course you cannot have fun with it if you do not track it. You only live once so if you are going to something, don't dabble, go for it.

Again my 2 cents.
