Marc, your car looks great! Nicely done!

I have always preferred badges on the 996. I would add the badge, either Carrera or 911. My personal preference would be a silver Carrera badge. You can get one from Eric at Bumperplugs for about $30.

Instead of changing the brakes, just change the pads/rotors and paint the calipers red. The red would look AWESOME behind your sport designs. That would add depth and definition to the wheel and really make the wheels & calipers POP. Cheap mod too, less thatn $25.

Thats the plan, my pads are shot so I am going to do the brake job and paint the calipers. whats the best stuff to paint the calipers with?
I was leaning to the Carrera badge till Raphael posted the 911 badge on my car... thats pretty damn sharp.

I debadged my BMW before but for Porsche I think the badge does make the car look better either with "Carrera" or "911".

Sold my Mk 1 Skirts in seconds! I have a buyer for my old front bumper picking it up next week and I plan to keep my original rear lid for a while.
I bet your old bumper would be a nice upgrade for a Boxster owner.

How much did you sell the bumper for?

Mine is still sitting in my basement and I figure I should sell it at some point.

Ahh, that would explain it. Last time I looked bumpers were going for around $300 on eBay - I just didn't want to deal with shipping. I might post mine as local pick-up only and see if anyone bites.

911 in Black (although mine is Naked)

Looks awesome and I too am jealous!
I agree Hate the front plate but the state I live in requires it and will ticket in a hearbeat. Even smoked covers will get a big ole ticket so we get to put that blazing white badge of disgrace on the front of our black beauty

PS new kitchen in... working on the new bathroom... understand the juggling for priority (and the wife's ummmm COMMENTS)
LMAO

Hey Marc

The Saga continues!!

DPS charged my Credit Card on Aug 1st for the Full aero kit.

To date, only the side skirts have been delivered.

I had read all the complaints about DPS and their slow shipping, but I was hoping that most were due to the custom paint So I ordered my stuff unpainted, I guess that answers that question

I should have went with Mike Shaw

I give up - all the excitement and enthusiasm I had is all gone
