Agreed! However, it's hard to do without a decent paying job..... and even harder without any job.

That's your problem, Tim. You have to shed all the "fiscal responsibility" baggage your parents saddled you with and live the American Dream.

Speaking of the American Dream, I think I may have misunderstood what that meant. I though they said the American Dream was having "one job per household and two mortgages." However, I am now realizing that they really said "two jobs per household and one mortgage." I guess I was absent from class that day!

what it should be is "one job per household, one mortgage, and the ability to live comfortably and still put away 10% in savings each year (401k, IRA, whatever)". at least that is how i've been able to live so far *knock on wood*.

+1

Now only if my wife would get on board with that plan.

Oh wait, I think I'm the one who overspent this month.

BTW, the C2S is my favorite car to play with on Porsche's site. Now I just need someone to buy one in a configuration I like, use it for a few years, and sell it to me at for half of what they bought it for.

The drop in the stock market in the last year has turned my 401K plan into a 201K plan.

Considering that in this economy, our C4S's are worth about as much as a well-equipped Chevy Cobalt SS, it's easy to keep them with no job.

Sorry to hijack the thread however I got the chance to drive a 07 gt3rs on wednesday. Not much to say other than unbelievable. I believe that this one some sort of aftermarket exhaust, it was quite loud. Super fast. Perfect handling. Simply a dream. I know that it is an amazing car however I was most fascinated with the sport chrono (I have driven two other 997's with the chrono but I never played around with them). Maybe someday i'll win the lottery.
