Finally made it home with the 996...
Sorry for the low quality iPhone photo... I'll post some higher quality photos once it warms up a little and I can properly detail the car.
I just spent the last 2-1/2 days on a cross country drive in the 996. Picked it up in the Los Angeles area and drove it to northern Indiana.
It's funny - I've read all the comments about the 996 not being as "connected to the road" as the 993, etc. All I can say is - that's BS! This is a great road car! After driving a Cayenne S as my DD, the 996 feels very connected to the road. 3 days into 996 ownership, I'm very happy.
For those of you who are concerned about such things, you'll notice that the pumpkins are already gone...

We got to know each other a bit over the last couple of days... it was all good, but I'm glad to be home.
Just took the wife for a ride (in the car - driving - you perverts)... she was pleased with the purchase. She's taking the Cayenne now, and she is quite pleased about that.

Yeah the 996 is a great road trip car. Comfortable, fast, and "connected". I've driven back and forth across the country several times and it's always a fun experience.
