Another child booster question: need updated info please
Thanks for your reply. And yes I have searched ad nauseum on this but am confused as ever:
Which currently available child booster seat (no-back or any other) fits in the back of a 996?
I have one here I bought from another Rennlister, but I don't think it's available. It is a Britax from a few years ago.
The problem usually after I do a search here on Rennlist: I would find a model people recommend, and then look for it for sale, and it's always discontinued. (For example: StarRiser, with the adjustable seat width. perfect, except.... Not in stock! Discontinued!) Seems like these models are in cycle only for about 10 months at a time.
Thanks again!

I just put in a pair of Recaro Vivo Lites into the back of my car earlier this summer. They fit pretty well into the narrow rear seats. For best results remove the seat cushions and the seat backs.

Thanks very much! That brand of car seats I had not come across as suitable for 996s. I will check it out. Any thoughts on Vivo and Vivo Lite differences? Is it thinner padding all around?

I think the differences between the Vivo and Vivo Lite is in the fabric and color choices. The physical dimensions and performance specs are the same. BTW, the seat is not "lite" in weight, it's actually quite sturdy and a bit heftier than a Graco Turbobooster (which does not fit a 996).

Not sure how much tighter than a coupe the cab seat is, but the Maxi Cosi Rodi fits with plenty of room to spare. All the Maxi Cosi seats have a slim/rounded butt, which works much better in Porsche rear seats than the squared off seat bottom of many others.

Thanks to both.
RallyJon, are you able to get the Maxi Cosi into your 993 C4 also, with or without the backrest of the child seat? Would be interested to find one that works both for 996 and my 993. My child really does not need the backrest anymore.
As I recall, and I'll soon find out, even though it is narrow, the 996 rear seat is still a little more squared-off compared to the 993, which is almost triangular in how narrow the back of the seat bottom is.

Yes. Got it for the 993. It's not perfect (sits forward an inch or so) but it's pretty good. The long 993 seatbelt receiver rotates forward to right where it needs to be.
