Jesus ****ing christ you guys - off topic much?

I mean I think it's great you guys are packing and all but really it's not tech and although I love shootin' em up as much as the next guy I don't think it's appropriate for a family Porsche forum.

Sorry guys - canadian rant off.

Wow, a voice of reason -- how refreshing!

The hold up?

Rick Perry blows a lot of hot air about secession, but then he goes home and fires up his calculator and realizes he still needs the Federal Gov't for FEMA hurricane disaster handouts or The Splintered State of Texas will go broke.

I wouldn't keep a gun in my car simply in case the car is stolen. I would hate to have my gun used in a crime. I WOULD like James Bond machine guns built into the headlight washers though, to make use of the useless headlight washer switch (back on topic?)!

Another Texan chiming in...I usually wear a "belly band" when I am out and about. I would not carry if the only place I could do so was in my car. With the belly band I dont have to worry about relocating the weapon from a pouch or pocket to my persons once i leave the vehicle because it is always on me...I would be very hesitant to leave the weapon in the car when left unattended. Galco offers a wide range of styles.

The only guns I want in my 996 are paintball canons to take care of the left lane bandits.

This may have started as sort of appropriate for the forum but is now clearly OT and should be moved or locked. Mods?

This thread should be renamed "Texas: Why the rest of the world is terrified of it."

I carry a Ruger LCP in my pocket all the time. It's a little tight in the 930/ 993 but it's not too bad. I suppose it would be fine in a larger 996 etc.

I don't need to carry a gun...I carry one because i am allowed to under the 2nd amendment...This is waaaay off topic, BUT...there are bad people out there (for real... i am not paranoid)...I want just as much of a chance to prevent them from doing me and my family harm as they have to do harm to me...you never know what lies in wait for you the next time you are at a traffic light, or parking lot. Imagine the surprise on the would be robbers face when you pull out a "Gat" and turn the situation around in your favor..."it's better to have and not need, than to need and not have"
