In Car Concealed Carry
Does anybody carry a handgun in their 996? If so, where do you place it? Anybody have an interior mounted holster type carry that works effectively?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I carry mine in my little door pocket - I have a CCW of course - .44 SPCL, 5-speed revolver, BullDog Pug. In VA you can actually carry it 'Open" without a CCW!!!! Someday when I hit my mid-to-late 60's, I'll carry one of my nickle plated .45's in a hand-tooled holster on my hip and wear a nice Pendleton flannel wool shirt over my jeans and Luchesse boots with my Resistol 10X beaver fur silverbelly on top. Now that's living....

In Texas, you can now carry a gun in your vehicle without a CHL. As a CHL holder, I have carried one for years; long before the recent law changes. Remember that we have a saying, "don't mess with Texas."
I wear and in-the-waistband holster a lot. Since I have Euro GT3 seats, I tend to shift it forward and up for access. If I don't have to carry on my person, I usually carry a smaller gun (9mm AMT Backup, Sig P239 or HK P7 PSP) in the driver's door pocket. I will keep it in a loose fitted, padded holster. It is very easy to get out. Occassionally, I carry a larger gun (P220, Kimber 5" CDP, Webley .45 or Sig X-Five Tac) on the floor between the seat and the trunk release. In this case, I lay it in an open pistol rug.
