+1

Looking at the video, I can't believe the officer in the opening sequence waited that long to shoot..... AND, I can't believe it took that long for the guy to go down after receiving so many shots.

Ed, thanks for understanding.
Eric, I have always enjoyed being called a "pig"....I expect it when I'm in the local trailer park. It is an unpleasant surprise when it happens here.

EB, I know its hard to ignore the asinine remark that gass expressed, I know that his opinion, thankfully, is in the minority.

You bet guys !
understand the danger and the frustration - personally I dont have the "right stuff" to remain calm - hense I am not an officer. I know everyone is inocent until proven guilty and even this guy might get off with some slap on the wrist because one of the 20 police cars chasing him had a tail light burned out, but it rediculous to even begin to call that without being there.

Some said "stop chasing"
I say give the officers Bazooka's and blow the rat bastards off the face of the earth

Whoops, was that my "outside voice"

You don't think a 170 pound parolee high on pcp who doesn't want to go back to prison can't fight off 1000+ pounds of officers after a can of pepper spray and five taser deployments? You're wrong. I'm sure you could have handled it though...

I think bragging who you can beat up on the internet is typical mouthbreather behavior. Sue me...

Oh god I never thought I'd see an Ayn Rand quote on rennlist.

And I don't think he was bragging, just pointing out that people who haven't interacted with people high on drugs like that don't realize how dangerous they can be.

i don't know why you think that. With the healthcare change we are facing it is certainly relevant. I didn't ditch it for you either, just felt like it was time for a change

Anyway, how does he know it would take ten of my friends & I to take the guy down? That sounds like bragging to me.

No, Ayn Rand is never relevant. There are so many gaps in her thinking it's embarrassing. And trust the cop when it comes to taking down people on PCP, it is a scary drug.

FAIL. I'm bragging? LOL You missed the original point that if the suspect in the video was on pcp, he may have had the strength to resist all those officers efforts to take him into custody (Mine included, had I been there). Fact, not bragging.

Amazing how you find the time to misquote me, but not voice disapproval over D-bag's comment. So you support it then right?

Thanks to all for the positive comments.

Were you there? You don't know $ht other than the poor quality dash cam video you saw on the internet while you were home safe in your house and I was out risking my a$$ and arresting turds like that on the street. Do you know if he was on PCP or had just killed his family? Could you see if he changed his mind and began to resist after complying? ...or if he was trying to retrieve a gun or knife from his waistband? Policy and law give officers the right to meet force with force to affect an arrest. I have fought guys that size that would take you and ten of your friends to subdue. Further, the video is unclear whether the suspect was even struck by anyone.

homework for you:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...3034404553451#

http://www.odmp.org/year.php

If someone breaks into your house and tries to kill you and your family, are you going to call 911 and request a pig to come out and put his life in danger to rescue your sorry a$$?

Do your loved ones kiss you goodbye on your way to work worried you may never return?

How many co-workers/friends have you seen killed at work?

So until you have been there, done that as I have, STFU and show some GD appreciation for those who risk their lives daily to protect you and your family and refer to them as Officers.

~A "PIG"
Thanks for posting this. When I first saw this thread I figured 'here we go again' let's bash the police like some like to do in OT. The shit head OP had / has no idea what really happened in the video or in real life. Add in an adrenalin dump from watching someone going down the highway trying to kill people with his vehicle and it's a wonder they didn't actually try to hurt this guy.
