Default My airbag light SOLVED with Durametric and other revelations

I ordered the Durametric enthusiast kit on Tuesday
It arrived Thursday afternoon - from across the country! That's what I call fast shipping. Just in time before I was dreading to go into the porsche dealer for a $120 diagnosis of the airbag light.

I installed the s/w that came with it on my laptop in about 3 mins,
Went to the car, plugged in the cable that came with it.
Put key into Acc position and checked the code.

Phew - it's code 46 - seat belt buckle.

I cleared it and saved a trip to the dealer and then went to town on buckle and ground connection with electronics cleaner

I also had the ECU read. No over revs!

Good for you...always feels better when you are able to diagnose and fix a problem yourself. Now reward yourself and go for a ride in your Porsche!!

Wow, nice tool. Where did you purchase and how much was this Durametric tool?

www.durametric.com

$290 or so shipped. This should be a "must have" for anyone interested in a little DIY with every pre-owned Porsche...

Durametic is great, There is an ad for one in the classifieds of the new Pano for $150, good deal if it's still available.
