Default Booster seats (please read because I really have used search)

Hi all,

I think this comes up every few months because so many of the child seats get discontinued. Does anyone know of a booster seat that fits in a 996 that can be purchased today? If so, please let me know whether you use the seat bottom and/or the seat back and where the booster can be purchased.

I'm interested in boosters both with and without a back.

Regards,
Trevor

I just got a Maxi-Cosi Rodi XR booster for a 996 C4s. I took the leather seat bottom out of the car and it fits fairly well - the seatbelt can be a bit of a pain to clip in - will try to remove the leather seat back. My son is 5 years old, skinny but tall - the seat is quite a bit upright.
BTW I am using the seatback with it currently but it is removeable.

And I have the regular Maxi Cosi Rodi. Perfect for my 4.75 y.o. 44" 42 lbs. Yeah, the seat belt receiver's tight, but it works.

Lot's of boosters have a square back to the seat section and won't fit. Need one with a rounded/tapered back.

Combi Dakota Backless Booster Car Seat or Recaro Vivo if you want a back... Amazon.com

I have both and they fit very well on a 996. Recaro for my 3 year old, Dakota for the 6 year old.

There is a similar thread on the 997 section.

I have a pair of Recaro Vivo boosters. I use the bottoms and backs. In order to get the boosters to sit more firmly in the car I removed all the cushions and seatbacks from the rear passenger area. The boosters are quite heavy and well made. A lot of people get a kick out it because both the front and rear seats are Recaros.

Thanks guys. I seem to recall a similar thread asking about the Combi Kobuk. Someone thought that it was the same as the Dakota plus a back?

Thanks, again - it looks like there are plenty of options still available.

Regards,
Trevor
