Not to mention it adds 10hp and saves 5 pounds of weight!

it's one of those topics that just strikes up conversation easy... the amber lights. Really its great because it starts people talking and rather the owners opt to switch or had no idea about the clears, amber lights are responsible for many many great friendship starts !!

and maybe 1 or 2 break ups

Congrats. Where are you in Delaware? I just moved from Hockessin to Chadds Ford. The Delaware PCA club meets up a lot in Hockessin in the Lantana shopping center, fyi. They have a website with events, that you can search on google for.

I just sold my 99 Coupe Aero, as I was going into temporary housing over the winter with no garage, and had a lot of other things going on, but regret the sale a bit now. I am already back in the market for another 996. I love the look of the Aero, the rush of a Turbo, and love the feel of a Cab, so I am not sure at the moment which way I am leaning.

Anyway, just wanted to mention the DE PCA and say congrats. Looks very nice.

Anyone with a Culture Club cassette collection want to buy a cassette holder? (kidding!)
What did your first mod cost? My first one may be the $50.00 clear side markers....actally that's not true I just picked up a windscreen on ebay.

The new tray was $36 from Bumperplugs, plus shipping. It replaces the cassette holder (or CD I think). Now I have more space for phone, glasses, etc. (see pic.)
What did you pay for the windscreen? Does anyone besides Porsche make one for the 996?

Cool More on my new Cab

Well, I spent about 6 hours washing, claying, waxing, appling back-to-black, interior cleaning and detailing, etc. on Sunday, and ZERO hours on yardwork. My wife is not too happy (thinks I'm nuts), but the car looks good . Now I've found all the small scratches and chips I didn't know about before.
Used Zymol wax, and it did a nice job on the dark paint. After it's gone, I'll probably order and try some Zaino. I also used Meguiars leather cleaner and treatment, and I like the way that turned out on the seats.
Also put on a new "Carrera" logo on the back, since the old one was broken. The old adhesive was a PITA to remove!
Only had time for a garage photo...

OH - and just go ahead and tell the wife you are nuts... saves a lot of guessing!

frequent trips to the garage to peek and make sure it is still yours are common and do not go away over time!

After your thorough cleaning the Porsche is now officially yours. Looks very sharp.

Wow that's awesome! I've gotta do that too.

I found the windscreen on ebay and paid $250.00 for it plus shipping. It's not here yet but seller advised it's perfect condition. I've seen them sold new anywhere from $600 - $800.00.
