Default Finally after cleaning my MAF...

After spraying the MAF with CRC electronic spray, two CEL codes that have been the only codes that have shown up(1123, 1125)in my 3 1/2 years of ownership, are GONE. Such a simple job, and now no need to order a new MAF. Next on my to do list...to clean the throttle body. My advice, do the MAF spray before you shell out $$, it might work for you too.

Did you clear the codes? How many times have you driven the car since you cleared them? It can take several drive cycles and many miles before the codes will surface again if the MAF is faulty. Sorry if you already knew that. Cleaning never worked for me, I went thru 5 MAFs including the original in 7 years.
To be fair, 2 new in the box aftermarket ones were defective.

I've probably cleared the codes a dozen times since buying the Porsche. But they have not reappeared of late. Always the same 2 codes, and honestly , I didn't think a simple cleaning would make any difference, but it did.

P1123 and P1125 are the LEAN threshold, the car is too LEAN for the DME to adapt, so it does makes sense that cleaning the maf would help.... let us know how long it takes for the cel to come back on.

West Hartford is a beautiful place! I live in Fairfield County now which is about 1 hr outside of NYC on the coast. I went to boarding school up north in Kent. The Appalachian trail runs right next to my high school campus. Great memories hiking around.

FYI, the cell codes will come back. Takes a couple of months, but just disconnect the neg of the battery for a few minutes and you will be good. That fix works for about a year before replacement becomes inevitable.

About 2 weeks after cleaning my MAF it came back on same codes as before, so....I just installed a new MAF, a new air filter and added a little distilled water to my(apparently leaking) coolant tank this afternoon. Preparing to go to Northern NJ on Sat with my wife for a 38th year reunion...I'll let you know if I 'still' get a CEL after this trip.
